Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride 2026

A historic 200 mile cycle ride over the August Bank holiday following the route of the medieval Queen Eleanor Crosses from near Lincoln to Westminster Abbey in London
The Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride is a 4-day charity cycle ride, which takes place each year over the August Bank Holiday weekend to raise funds to support The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields. The 220-mile route follows quiet roads through glorious countryside from Harby, near Lincoln, to London, and links the locations of the 12 Queen Eleanor Crosses. King Edward 1 built the crosses in loving memory of his wife, Eleanor of Castile, after she died in Harby in 1290. The ride ends at The Connection, near Charing Cross close to a replica of the original final Queen Eleanor Cross. The continuing appeal of the ride lies in its fascinating historical basis, the companionship it generates each year among the cyclists, and the common goal to raise funds to support The Connection's work with rough sleepers in central London
