St Edmund's Pilgrimage - Bury St Edmunds Circular via Rushbrooke and Nowton

A pilgrim journey is a sacred one, which allows time to wander away from our pressured lives to see things afresh. Beginning and ending at the Cathedral, this delightful walk takes you along old paths through unspoilt Suffolk countryside, and includes two lesser known and fascinating churches at Nowton and Rushbrooke. The walking will be slow, giving time for you to wonder. The journey is nine miles in total, and we will aim to have completed it within 5 hours.
We meet outside Pilgrims’ Kitchen to be ready to leave at 10.00 am. (Toilets available). Bring food and drink for the journey, and suitable footwear for walking. The Pilgrimage will end back at Pilgrims’ Kitchen and after refreshment, you are warmly invited to stay for Evensong at 3.30 pm.
