The Walsingham Way - 3-day Guided Pilgrimage Walk

One of Norfolk's holiest sites, the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year and is the perfect destination for a pre-advent pilgrimage walk.
Our guided pilgrimage is led by veteran Norfolk walker Josiah English, MA Medieval Studies, who will follow the recently re-established pilgrimage route from medieval Norwich to Walsingham. The walk, spread across three days, follows the River Wensum through the heart of the county, before eventually diverging a few miles from our destination. The route takes in medieval churches and places of pilgrimage along the way, and near the end pilgrims have the option to join the medieval tradition to walk the final 'Holy Mile' between the Slipper Chapel and Shrine of Our Lady barefoot.
Accommodation, meals, and transport are included, organised through the Julian Shrine. At the end of each day, walkers will be transported back to Norwich for the evening, before being delivered back to their stopping point the following morning.
The route is 37 miles, with the first two days covering 30 miles in total, ending with a 7 mile stretch to allow time to visit the Shrines at Walsingham before returning back to Norwich in the evening.
