St Cadoc's Church, nr Abergavenny
St Cadoc's Church, Llangattock Lingoed, Abergavenny NP7 8RR

St Cadoc's Church is a hidden gem.
It still has the intricately-carved beam of its medieval rood screen. There are fragments of medieval stained glass (very rare in south Wales), a huge wall painting of St George, seventeenth-century pews and a good assortment of seventeenth-and eighteenth-century tomb carvings. There is a particularly impressive seventeenth-century floor slab in the chancel. The naive vernacular figures either side of a central cross are the trademark of a local firm of stonemasons.
