Non-conformist Independent Chapel hall in the heart of Lewes
The only remaining active Independent Chapel in Lewes once famous for its Independent Non-conformity, our hall is available to pilgrims seeking sanctuary. The clean, quiet hall has direct access to toilet facilities and a kitchenette. They also offer a stamp for pilgrim passports.
Children and dogs welcome. There are plenty of dining places within short distances as Chapel is in central Lewes next to the Castle. Single gender space may be possible on request depending on other bookings.
Sanctuary facilities include:

- Hand basin/sink
- Electric power point,
- Lighting, Heating
- Kitchen facilities
- Pub/café/restaurant nearby
- Public transport nearby
- Wifi
- No shower but Butler's sink with hot water
- Single gender space available with notice.
Recommended minimum donation: £20 / pilgrim / night
Capacity: maximum 12 pilgrims
Open all year round
Arrival and departure times: Arrival from 6pm depending on hired activities taking part in premises. Depart by 8.30am.
Restrictions:
- No candles or other naked flames
- Children and dogs are welcome.
